Kentucky Bar Foundation Recognized at Safe Harbor's Cornerstone Luncheon

The Kentucky Bar Foundation (KBF) was honored at Safe Harbor of Northeast Kentucky's annual Cornerstone Luncheon for its continued support of domestic violence services in eastern Kentucky.

Safe Harbor, an emergency shelter and advocacy center, provides confidential, caring, and supportive services to domestic violence survivors throughout the region. The annual Cornerstone Luncheon celebrates the organizations and individuals whose contributions have been fundamental to Safe Harbor's mission.

"Our Foundation is deeply honored to receive this recognition from Safe Harbor," said Susan Duncan, Executive Director of the Kentucky Bar Foundation. "Safe Harbor's work providing essential services to domestic violence survivors represents the very best of our community. The KBF is committed to continuing our partnership with organizations that ensure access to safety, support, and justice for all Kentuckians."

The Kentucky Bar Foundation’s funding to Safe Harbor helped the organization expand its legal advocacy services for domestic violence survivors. One woman who obtained an EPO with support from Safe Harbor’s legal advocates states daily that Safe Harbor saved her and her children’s lives.

Safe Harbor offers emergency shelter, court advocacy, counseling, and other support services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence in Boyd, Greenup, Carter, Elliott, and Lawrence counties.
